He wasn't necessarily a bad guy or anything but when you have a guild--nay--community like DoD, you HAVE to be prepared to suck it up and put on a filter at times. I wasn't like the FCC was watching our green chat or patrolling our Vent conversations ready to pounce at anything we said. There was a HEFTY share of vulgarity at times. However, the vulgarity was well placed most of the time and therefore, acceptable. Sentra was one of those PvPers that was decent and understood somewhat of the expectations to be competitive but he represented the majority of players that could not quite achieve that skill level that many were comfortable sitting at and remaining calm most of the time because they have a deeper understanding of "how the game is played". And I mean more than just the surface text in those words... Everything is much more relaxed at the top. Sentra not ever being quite there was stuck meddling with others, much like himself, full of rage and off the wall comments at extremely inappropriate times...GuiltieGaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14463071096511530396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6556575758010903163.post-73491367170425042362014-04-01T15:23:47.668-06:002014-04-01T15:23:47.668-06:00@Nann,

It is actually quite interesting how there is almost a definitive barrier between the contrasting community that remains just above 2300+. I was pretty well received into every raiding guild I ever had the privilege of slaying content with, including DoD.GuiltieGaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14463071096511530396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6556575758010903163.post-60232554057023131372014-03-28T07:00:09.035-06:002014-03-28T07:00:09.035-06:00@Salivanth,

I couldn't leave unexplained mysteries alone because I felt like it was something players who didn't give a shit would do.<br /><br />"Why are you at the bottom of the meters?"<br /><br />"I dunno."<br /><br />To me, that was the ultimate slap in the face. So even bizarre mysteries like why I wasn't measuring up to accidentally inflated death knight reports had to be answered.<br /><br />I didn't want to be put into the position of someone asking me that, and telling them I didn't know.<br /><br />DKs were definitely not weak at the time! If anything, DKs dominated the meters extensively throughout WotLK (even moreso at the end).Shawn Holmeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05110605868875966328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6556575758010903163.post-6441602217896513952014-03-27T20:36:22.111-06:002014-03-27T20:36:22.111-06:00Being a healer I never paid too much attention to ...Being a healer I never paid too much attention to the dps numbers, but even if your numbers had been low I would not have cared, and I think most people would have felt the same. Having your guild leader and most charismatic member in the raid provided a morale boost that easily negated any loss of dps. Guys like Jungard and Hells were always pushing the boundaries with their DPS. They were a benchmark that everyone tried to be like. Likewise with our healers. In the years that I have been raiding, I have never been part of a healing team as efficient and cohesive as we had in Wrath.Frednoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6556575758010903163.post-44489553026166801502014-03-27T16:07:21.506-06:002014-03-27T16:07:21.506-06:00So, if your DPS was that good the entire time, why...So, if your DPS was that good the entire time, why did you feel the need to go to such lengths to increase it to begin with? Were you underperforming compared to the rest of the raid? And if so, how was that possible with numbers like that? Were DK's just weak at DPS at the time? Or was it actually a gear problem, Blain's motto be damned?<br /><br />-SalivanthAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6556575758010903163.post-79096631710828751392014-03-27T09:54:24.269-06:002014-03-27T09:54:24.269-06:00Oh ICC.
